We use your email to contact you about Permit Count. We store signups and measure interest in the service. We do not sell your personal information. You can request a copy, correction or deletion at privacy@permitcount.com.
Who runs this site
Permit Count is operated by CSA Sentry LLC, 971 US Highway 202N, Ste N, Branchburg, New Jersey 08876.
This policy covers permitcount.com. Contact us at privacy@permitcount.com.
What is available
This site collects interest in Permit Count. The proposed service is in development.
You can also run the free public-record scanner. Its result appears before any email request. Illustrative examples elsewhere on the page are labeled Sample.
Joining the waitlist is free. Any subscription price shown is planned pricing. Checkout is disabled.
What we collect
- Email address
- The address you submit, normalized to lowercase. One address can join each product waitlist once.
- Visits and signup activity
- A random browser identifier, dates, product, referral source and campaign tags. Campaign records may include advertising click identifiers. These help us count visits and signups by source.
- Scanner results
- We process the search you request. If you submit an email after a scan, we store the verified result with your signup. It can contain business names, public record details and the assumptions shown to you. We also record whether a scan completed and whether it flagged something to review.
How we use it
We use signup information to contact you about the service you requested and to understand demand. Signup does not start monitoring or create a paid subscription.
We do not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We do not use your email to look you up in other databases.
Cookies and analytics
- ss_sid
- A random browser identifier, kept for up to one year. Clearing cookies resets it.
- ss_src
- Your first referral source, up to 64 characters, kept for up to one year when a source is available.
- ss_att
- First-visit campaign tags and click identifiers, kept for up to one year when present in the link. These stay in our database and are not copied into our server analytics events.
- PostHog
- When enabled, PostHog may store its own analytics identifier. We disable automatic page, form and session recording. Blocking analytics does not prevent signup.
Web infrastructure receives your IP address to deliver requests and limit abuse. Our signup and event tables do not contain an IP address field. Service providers may process request data under their own policies.
There are no advertising pixels on these pages. Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control do not change the service because we do not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.
Your scanner input
The scanner uses the business identifier you enter to look up public records. A name match is not proof of ownership.
A verified result is saved with your email only when you submit the scanner signup form. Deleting that signup removes its stored result. Aggregate usage events may remain without the email address.
Who processes the information
- Cloudflare
- Provides domain, delivery and storage services, including database backup storage. It receives request information such as IP addresses. Their policy
- Amazon Web Services (Lightsail)
- Hosts the application and its database. These services process the information described above.
- PostHog
- When enabled, receives limited usage events with a random browser identifier. We do not send email addresses, business names, uploaded files or detailed scan results to PostHog. Session recording and automatic form capture are disabled. Their policy
Retention and deletion
We retain your signup while maintaining the waitlist unless you request deletion. If we stop developing the service, we may retain the interest record until you ask us to remove it.
Our backup process is configured to retain daily copies for 30 days. Deletion from the application does not immediately remove a record from an existing backup.
To request access, correction, deletion or no further contact, write to privacy@permitcount.com from the address you used to sign up. We respond within 30 days. Deletion from the live signup table is completed within seven days; backup copies expire within 30 days after that.
Email preferences
Joining the waitlist does not trigger an immediate report email. We will contact you when the service is ready or if plans change.
You can leave the waitlist at any time by writing to privacy@permitcount.com. Any future commercial email will include a way to unsubscribe.
Your choices
You can request a copy, correction or deletion of your information at privacy@permitcount.com. An authorized agent can contact us on your behalf. We may ask for information needed to verify the request. We do not charge for these requests or penalize you for making one.
We serve businesses in the United States. Your information is processed in the United States and by the infrastructure providers listed above. Privacy rights may also apply under the laws where you live.
Security
Connections use HTTPS. The production database is accessed by the application, and the administration dashboard is protected by operator credentials. No security measure eliminates every risk.
Children
This service is for businesses and is not directed to children under 13. If a child submitted information, contact privacy@permitcount.com to request removal.
Policy changes
We update the date on this page when this policy changes. Material changes to the use of existing signup information will be communicated before they take effect.
